Lorraine B. Diggs, MHA, BSN, RN

Lorraine Diggs serves as the Vice President of Nursing and Chief Nursing Officer for UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, New York. She assumes overall responsibility for the delivery of patient care and the patient experience.

Ms. Diggs’ healthcare career has spanned across 39 years. Previous roles include management responsibilities for the Emergency Department; Perioperative Services (Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, Endoscopy, Preadmission testing, Central Sterile); Outpatient Services; Medical, Telemetry and Surgical Units; Behavioral Health; Obstetrics; and Pediatrics. She was a certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse and a Post Anesthesia Care Nurse. Lorraine also served as Utilization Management Coordinator and Director of Nursing before moving into the Vice President role.

Lorraine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of New York College at Brockport, and her Master of Science in Health Administration from Kennedy-Western University.

Active in her community, Ms. Diggs has served on the YMCA Board, the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County Board; chaired the 2011 United Way Capital Campaign, and currently serves on the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation Board of Directors. She also serves on the Jamestown Community College School of Nursing and Mercyhurst Advisory Boards.

Lorraine is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
